6:35 pm – Zazen (Zen meditation)
7:15 pm – Shodo (Zen Calligraphy)
8:00 pm – End
*Monday evenings will focus on Shodo, or Zen calligraphy. Students will learn how to blend the technical precision of writing Japanese characters with KIAI (spiritual power). Class will focus on how to compose, balance, and write with the brush. Through posture, rhythm, speed, and precise brush handling, calligraphy becomes a tool for spiritual refinement.
All tools and materials will be provided. No prior experience required.
